History
The first written evidence of Vitanova is from 1550. Number of inhabitants:1250 Elevation:700 m a.s.l. Vitanova is situated on the northern hills of Skorušinske mountains. The stream Oravica goes through the village. Church sacred to Godly Heart of Jesus was built in 1932. A historical cross and St. Rócha´s statue are well known sights in Vitanova. Oravice with natural thermal bathing pools and good conditions for hiking and picking fruits of forest is located close to Vitanova.
